Mac McAnally

Pope-A-Palooza Headliner

A record-setting ten-time CMA Musician of the Year, McAnally is an inductee in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame and Alabama Music Hall of Fame. The renowned songwriter, singer and instrumentalist has written dozens of hit records for other artists, several of which peaked at #1. His own recording career began with his debut hit single “It’s A Crazy World” and has grown to 14 album releases. He has written hits for Alabama, Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney and Sawyer Brown, and has studio credits that include albums by Dolly Parton, Toby Keith, Linda Ronstadt and George Strait.

Parrotheads know McAnally as the guitarist/backup singer in Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band in the 1990s and as contributing songwriter on Buffett tunes like “It’s My Job” and “Coast of Carolina.” Since 1997 McAnally produced Buffett’s albums with his fellow Coral Reefer Band mate Michael Utley including Buffett’s final studio album “Equal Strain” earlier this year.

The Resolvers

The Resolvers

The Resolvers define “Big Band Reggae” by combining classic Jamaican roots and lively New Orleans stylings. Siblings Ojay and Sahara Smith (son and daughter of international reggae artist Ernie Smith) exchange lead vocal roles with Israeli born bandleader and guitarist Ron Eisner while their rock solid rhythm and bombastic horn sections set the pace. Their show has been described as “explosive” and “must see,” and the band has gained the reputation as a premier live reggae act. The Resolvers have shared the stage with The Wailers, Julian Marley, Stephen Marley, Damian Marley, Kymani Marley, Inner Circle, English Beat, Yellowman, Matisyahu, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and Mishka along with many other world renowned acts in major international festivals such as Marley Fest, Jamaican Jazz & Blues Fest, Sun Fest, Hulaween, AURA Music & Arts Fest, Dub Fest and more.

The Associates Band

The Associates Band was formed in 2012 by 5 founding associates from JM Family Enterprises, Inc. The band, under the direction of band leader Jonah Goldberg, was JM Family’s first entry into the inaugural Rock United Battle of the Bands corporate competition, sponsored by the United Way of Broward County. Our performance so wowed the audience that a buzz was created on campus and a plethora of talented associates joined the band. The Associates Band competed in subsequent Rock United events, earning titles for Best Overall and Fan Favorite!

Enthusiasm for the band generated many pleas from our followers to have more gigs and perform at local venues. As associates of JM Family, each of us are committed to Jim Moran’s philosophy of “giving back”. The Associates Band members unanimously agreed that we would donate all gig fees and tips to Associates Helping Associates (AHA), JM Family’s internal associate assistance fund. The fund was established to provide our fellow associates with financial assistance in times of need, such as natural disasters, family deaths, and illnesses. AHA is funded entirely from individual associate donations; and, thanks to our fans, The Associate Band is the biggest contributor!

The Associates Band plays an eclectic mix of music ranging from Elvis, Joan Jett, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eagles, Jimi Hendrix, Lady A, The Beatles, Lady Gaga, new country, blues, classic rock, and some songs you may enjoy for the first time. Oh, and most of the musicians will frequently cause an insurrection and we insert some “Metal Head” songs!
